Interesting travels through Bosnia

˝You gotta be kidding me!˝ This is Marks favorite expression as we have been traveling along. The driving here is a bit different than in the states, to pass someone on a two lane road while driving through a mountain pass is pretty common here, so needless to say its not quite the same as at home. The drive yesterday from Banja Luka to Livno was amazing. We drove through a canyon that rivals those in Colorado. The mountain rocks were juting out very close to the car and the river was beautiful. We drove through several small towns and then through another mountain pass, this time there were trees in every shade of green imaginable. It has been really great to see how different, and always beautiful, this country is. Shortly after we arrived in Livno we had coffee with Daniela and then were joined by the rest of the group and their parents. We had a really nice time chatting with them and hearing about the project that the group has already completed. They saw a need for educating about volunteer opportunities and even have an exhibit about their project currently on display in Sarajevo. We started our day today with a nice walk through the town of Livno. The mountains are beautiful here, it is amazing how close you can get, for a moment you hold your breath and hope that no rocks will fall on you. We hiked all the way up to the top of the town (Marks favorite part) and the view was phenominal! We visited a church that had a museum in it and saw some wonderful paintings by a famous artist from Livno. After enjoying some cevapi for lunch with the group they all headed off to school and Toni was nice enough to walk Mark and I to the internet cafe so we could write...he also helped us with the keyboard which is a little different from ours at home. We have had a really nice time here in Livno, the group was so great to show us around and we really enjoyed ourselves. Now we are heading to the coast of Croatia, cao!
